A Hike In The Forest...OF SCARY BADNESS D:

[Kenji]

Kenji had beaten the first two gyms and was on his way towards Medius city. Several different types of dark and ghost pokemon resided in the forest, and Kenji decided one would help for the third gym. He had heard it would be psychic based, and Dark types aren't affected by psychic at all, it was perfect. He looked behind him at his faithful Monferno who was looking around for any movement of pokemon. Monferno and Kenji and been together since the beginning, they trusted each other and Kenji knew that if there were any rare pokemon out there, Monferno would find them.

[Lunus]

As if the forest was reading Kenji's mind a small cloud of fog appeared and rested on the forest floor, blurring his vision and making him able to see only a few feet in any direction. Before him lay a path to a camp and to the right he could see a faint firelight. The firelight was obviously closer than the camp site but strayed of the carefully planned path which was usually devoid of pokemon.

[Kenji]

What the heck is this stuff? Kenji muttered to himself, trying to bat away the dark-smoke?-but to no avail. Monferno burned his tail brighter, trying to add light, but the darkness was so thick, that it didn't help at all. Monferno grunted in annoyance and looked around, spotting a break in the blackness and a fire nearby. He pointed at the fire, grabbed Kenji by the shirt and led him out of the odd fog and towards the camp fire.

The two looked around as they neared the fire, and Kenji called out, Hello? Anyone here? Silence, Huh...well we might as well warm up by the fire. Monferno looked at his flaming tail and rolled his eyes, he was always warm, but he sat down next to his trainer anyway.

[Lunus]

Behind the pair by the fire a patch of the fog turned into a more corporeal mass, a Ghastly had appeared! The Ghastly made a mirage of itself appear to the trainer and pokemon before it flew into them and caused damage to the Monferno, showing off Night Shade to it's opponents. The ghastly then faded slightly, it was still visible to the pokemon, due to it's keen eyes but the trainer was helpless. The ghastly let off an evil ghostly chuckle at it's deviousness, thinking it was completely invisible in the fog.

[Kenji]

Kenji nearly peed himself as the pair of eyes appeared, HOLY CRAP!!! He cried as he fell backwards, MONFERNO KILL IT! Monferno nodded and stood up, but was immediately knocked back on his butt by the Ghastly's night shade attack. Kenji was back up too, now realizing it was a pokemon he wasn't as scared, Monferno add your flamethrower to the fire and let's cook this ghosty! Monferno jumped up and inhaled deeply, the fire began burning in his mouth as he released the powerful fire attack. The flamethrower added itself to the already burning fire resulting in a giant fireball that encompassed all of Ghastly.

[Lunus]

The ghastly burnt and, in shock, became solid again, it's purple smoke contrasting with the dark greys of the fog behind him. The Ghastly used confuse ray to disorient his foe then followed it swiftly with a sucker punch. The Ghastly then retreated into the lower branches of the slightly singed trees, wanting to avoid any more of those flamethrowers. He wasn't laughing anymore and Kenji knew why, the Ghastly was scared for it's well being and regretful for it's mischief.

[Kenji]

Kenji cringed as Monferno was hit by the confuse ray, Crap, we probably shouldn't take our chances, so return Monferno. Kenji held up a pokeball and in a flash of red, Monferno was sucked into the pokeball. Luckily, the sucker punch attack hadn't worked because Monferno had no intention of attacking. Hm...who should I use to beat this guy? It's part poison, so let's go with Metang!

Kenji said as he hurled out another pokeball, this time there was a flash of white as Metang appeared, floating infront of Kenji. Use confusion to disorient it and then move in for a zen headbutt! Metang's eyes flashed purple and a wave of psychic energy was unleashed. It then began to glow a light blue as it charged towards Ghastly with a zen headbutt.

[Guest]

The Gastly had smiled that it was capable of making you return your Monferno, but it had a feeling that this thing wasn't over just yet. The Gastly didn't know exactly what the Metang was, but of course it was going to fight it. It was about to release another Night Shade, but before it could it was hit with the Confusion, which caused it to spiral out. On top of that, it was hit by the Zen Headbutt. It fell to the ground hard, but you didn't hear a thud or anything. Why you gotta be so mean to the Gastly? Well, it was up to you with what you were going to do to it.

[Kenji]

Kenji cheered as Metang beat down the Ghastly, he ran over and gave his pokemon a high five. Ow, that was hard, that hurt. Still, good job Metang. Metang gave off a wurring sound like a computer starting up, and Kenji took it as a sign of happiness. Kenji walked over to the fainted Ghastly and retrieved a pokeball from his bag, Time to join the team Mr. Ghastly. Kenji said as the ghost pokemon was absorbed into the pokeball, and it began to shake.

Kenji picked up the pokeball and said aloud, I know the perfect trainer that will want you. The pokeball disappeared, automatically going to his PC and Kenji smiled. He turned back to Metang and said, Come on, let's see what else we can find. Kenji started to walk off but then realized that having Metang out in a forest filled with dark and ghost types wasn't the best idea. He pulled out Metang's pokeball and returned it, Maybe next time buddy, thanks for the help. Kenji decided to keep his pokemon in their pokeballs until he actually ran into something, I hope I can find that pokemon soon... With that, Kenji continued his journey through the forest.

[Shiz]

As kenji walks through the nebula forest searching for more pokemon, loud bam was heard nearby. Out of nowhere a tree fell just in front of kenji almost squishing him. That was a close one. "VIPER!" A cry was heard after the tree fell on the ground. A seviper came out of the darkness of the woods with its tail glowing bright purple. Apparently this seviper was the cause of the tree to fall. The seviper had no intention on hurting you he was only practicing his attacks on the tree and you occasionally ended up there. Now the seviper spotted you and wanted to test if all that practice was worth it. He let out a fearful hiss towards you tempting you to battle him.

[Kenji]

Kenji looked to his right as the sound of a cracking tree broke the still air of the night. HOLY SH- He yelled before diving into a roll, narrowly missing the large tree that would have flattened him like a pancake. Kenji got up and brushed himself off, That was close. He muttered before looking at Seviper and pulling out Metang's pokeball again. Sorry buddy, I should have just kept you out. Metang gave a happy wurring sound, obviously excited to be in another battle. Let's start things off with confusion, and then follow it up with Zen Headbutt. Metang nodded and did as it was told, a psychic wave shot towards Seviper, followed by a blue glowing Metang.

[Kei Osideken]

Seviper let out a hissing noise (sounded almost familiar >_>) before it ducked to its left in an attempt to dodge the psychic attack. the snake-like pokemon successfully dodged the first portion, but was unsuccessful in evading the second half.

Seviper was hit just below it's head so that it's neck flopped and it's head smashed against Metang's metalyness with a loud 'ting'. Perhaps that was crital hit? =3

Seviper hit the ground with a loud crash. And only after a large amount of effort on Seviper's part did it it get up and face it's enemy. It opened it's mouth wide and let out a ear piercing screech attack, hoping to disorientate the Metang and lower it's defenses

[Kenji]

Kenji smiled, Nice one Metang, but don't let up, hit it with a close range confusion, and if it still has some fight left in it, metal claw to wrap things up. Metang, who was floating just infront of Seviper now, nodded and did as he was told, its eyes flashed purple as another blast of psychic energy was directed towards Seviper. It didn't stop there though, Metang followed its trainers directions to the letter, the pokemon's right arm began to glow a metallic silver color, and Metang pulled back its arm, ready to strike if needed.

[Kei Osideken]

Seviper's eyes went wide as it's screech attack proved fairly ineffective. It then saw the Close range Confusion coming. Seviper try as it might, was completely unable to dodge away from the attack this time and it was hit, taking a full on blast from it. Falling to the ground Seviper laid there for a few moments before even attempting to get up. As it rose, it wobbled a bit before shaking it's head to regain--

POW! Metang's Metal claw connected with Seviper's jaw and sent him spiraling into a nearby tree, his body trailing behind him like a ball of yawn with a piece of string attached. Seviper hit the tree, body coiling up behind him, before it slid down to base of the tree, knocked out.

[Kenji]

Kenji walked over to the downed seviper and gave Metang a high five again, it hurt, but at least he had been expecting it. Geez Metang, you're just a killing machine. Metang let out another whurring sound and gave Kenji a big hug, squeezing him tightly, so tightly that Kenji couldn't breath. He gasped out, Too tight, too tight! Metang looked at its trainer and nodded, releasing him. Kenji smiled and said, You're quite the affection it one huh? Well let's see what else is in this forest. Metang followed Kenji, floating close by his side.

[Shiz]

As you keep walking through a path in the forest, the path didn't seem to reach an end. Not just that but seviper's body is still there uncouncious even though you've been walking for around 30 minutes. You look around and there was no pokemon at view. The forest seem to get more quiet as the minutes pass by. Soon, you realized that you aren't getting anywhere and you've been in the same spot for 30 minutes. Suddenly a evil laugh was heard from far away as an image appeared from the darkness of the forest. A puppet looking pokemon called bannet appeared while laughing. "Bannet Bannet!" The pokemon cries as he swings from left to right.

[Kenji]

Kenji sighed, I think...we've been going in a circle... Metang looked around and nodded vigorously. Kenji nodded, accepting reality and then threw his head to the sky and yelled, I HATE THIS FOREST!! Metang looked at Kenji, and if it could laugh, it would have. Metang picked Kenji up and placed him on its flat head. Kenji patted Metang and said, Thanks buddy, I could use a rest.

Then, Kenji heard it, the snickering of what sounded like a demonic child, What...was that? Metang looked around but saw nothing, and shrugged. Ya...maybe you're right...just my imagination. Kenj said, chuckling nervously. Then it appeared infront of them, the small ghost pokemon laughing maniacally. HOLY CRAP! Kenji yelled in surprise and fell backwards, off of Metang. He got up and looked at the pokemon, Uh...hey there.

[M.T. Zack]

The Banette Released a Wisp of ghostly fire From it's Mouth. BANNNNETTE! The Ghostly flame waved side, to side, towards Metang, and it hit. The Outer metal on Metang, got a bit singed, leaving it with a nasty burn. Suddenly The Banette Disappeared into the shadows, it's snickering heard from all the shadows around you, every now and again you would see it's eyes, then nothing. Until it apeared behind metang with a quick strike at ferocious speeds. A split second later Metang was spinning crazily into a tree, it's burn stinging upon impact.

[Kenji]

Oh my god it's going to attack us! Kenji cowered in fear behind Metang as it was struck by the cloud which ended up inflicting a burn. Then Banette appeared behind Metang and Kenji. Kenji, seeing this ordered his pokemon to Metang, behind you, use metal claw. Kenji ducked as the blue mineral pokemon's large, shiny metallic claw came in a backwards motion. The attack just went over Kenji's head, missing him, and would smash into Banette if the pokemon didn't act quick.

Kenji smiled as he watched the battle unfold literally no more than a foot above him in his crouched position. That ghost pokemon might be fast, but we have two sets of eyes Metang, we got this. Metang nodded and made a wincing noise, the burn was obviously putting it in pain, but Kenji knew Metang could last. Metang, follow up with a close range confusion, you can't miss. Metang nodded and the pokemon's eyes flashed purple as the psychic energy was sent towards the ghost pokemon.

[Kei Osideken]

Banette let out an ear piercing shriek as the Confusion attack landed on it's mark. The attack must have been slightly more powerful than you thought, for there was a small explosion of Psychic energy.

Out of one end of it came Banette soaring through the air much like a football would if punted. The Banette careened through a tree, but of course since it was a ghost pokemon, nothing really happened, it just passed through the tree ... But it did make contact with the ground on the other side of the tree for one reason or another.

Recovering from the hit Banette floated back up wards and then back through (Ghosts and their ability make interesting modding =3) the tree hoping to catch the Metang off guard with a powerful shadow sneak attack!

Banette's shadow rippled across the terrain encompassing you and the area around Metang. The shadow then lurched out of the ground. A terrifying sight to behold a shadow coming off of the ground. The shadow moved in to attack the poor unsuspecting Metang! Oh noes! D=

[Kenji]

Kenji looked at the banette, a bit confused as to what it was doing. Normally he would have cheered or fist pumped that Metang's attack had hit, but something wasn't right. Metang kept its eyes on the ghost, while Kenji looked around and suddenly noticed the shadow creeping up on Metang from behind. Metang behind you! However, it was too late, and the shadow sneak attack was too fast. Metang was hit by the attack and sent flying forward.

Kenji decided to use this to his advantage, Metang, I know you're hurtin buddy, but use Zen Headbutt on Banette. As Banette appeared from the tree, Metang began to glow a light blue as the pokemon used the momentum from the previous attack to boost its speed. Metang was now speeding towards Banette with a powerful Zen Headbutt attack.

[Lunus]

The Banette tried to float out of the way but it was too late, the attack hit with deadly precision and force. The Banette then lost the will to float and hit the ground with a thump and sinked half into it, being a ghost and all. Now it started to moan slight, it was still concious but barely, it could easily be caught or just left in the floot without having it come and attack your behind. What would Kenji do?

[Kenji]

Kenji smiled, Metang had yet again pulled through and won, Metang you're just unstoppable. Metang nodded and hugged Kenji, but then shuddered in pain. Oh right, I forgot about your burn, you should return and rest up. Metang, looking depressed but knowing it was the only way, nodded and waited for Kenji to return it.

But first, hit Banette with one last good confusion....you know, just to make sure. Metang smiled and launched a confusion at the banette, knocking it out for good. Kenji smiled and walked over to the now fainted pokemon, You're quite annoying, but I guess you deserve a rest too. He returned Metang and continued on his way through the forest.
