A Hike In The Forest...OF SCARY BADNESS D:

Kenji had beaten the first two gyms and was on his way towards Medius city. Several different types of dark and ghost pokemon resided in the forest, and Kenji decided one would help for the third gym. He had heard it would be psychic based, and Dark types aren't affected by psychic at all, it was perfect. He looked behind him at his faithful Monferno who was looking around for any movement of pokemon. Monferno and Kenji and been together since the beginning, they trusted each other and Kenji knew that if there were any rare pokemon out there, Monferno would find them.

[Lunus]

The baynette was hit yet again and was pretty much dead now. As you continue down the forest and hear multiple sounds, moans, groans and general rustling. Before you steps a running Bonsly, presumable running from a larger pokemon. When it sees you it cowers behind your legs and looks back the way it came, obviously this Bonsly wasn't a threat, but maybe what it was running form was.

(This is the same Bonsly i used in Milo's thread btw, so it's running form her Garchomp)

Kenji looked at the impostor tree pokemon and shrugged, Most people would be surprised by something like this, but when you've had the day I have, nothing surprises you. Kenji mumbled to himself before crouching down and looking at Bonsly carefully. He looked at the ground beneath the bonsly and sighed, Of course, of course it just had to wet itself. Kenji rolled his eyes and pet the Bonsly, Alright little buddy, it's going to be fine. Run along and...go see your family or something. Kenji smiled and pat the Bonsly on its head before turning and walking away.

[Shiz]

The Bonsly, already frightened enough as it is, couldn't handle even seeing another human or pokemon larger than itself. The poor baby immediately fainted the moment your hand touched it's head, falling with a thump. Well ... You walked away already at this point, so the faux tree creature was left to be eaten by hungry Houndour.

Moving along, it would seem generally quiet and soothing, until you finally came across a creature of disturbing aesthetics. It's body was sticky, big, and brown -- with huge pincers atop it's 'head', covered in large spikes. It's skinny arms moved awkwardly, as it reached for a berry in a bush nearby. Picking it, the creature stuffed said berry in it's mouth, chewing it with a frightening amount of teeth that were lined vertically rather than horizontally, causing the berry's juices to gush out and splatter all over the ground. A terrifying sight; especially since the berry's juice was a sickening dark red. The Pinsir turned, eyes narrowing as it spotted your sillhouette in the shadows. It gave out a loud territorial cry, shifting it's body to face you. It gave out a warning, growling roughly - waiting for you to leave.

[Kenji]

Kenji walked through the woods, beating back branches and other shrubbery until he came upon a bug type. Kenji pulled out his pokedex, scanned the pokemon from a distance and read the data, Huh...a Pincer. He paused and then snorted, Real original, who names these things anyway? Pincer had noticed Kenji and turned to look at the young trainer, Kenji was hardly fazed by the bloody red color around its mouth. This place just gets weirder and weirder. Kenji said as he walked away, leaving the bug pokemon to his feast.

[Shiz]

You could hear the sound of a snarling Houndour and a screaming Bonsly in the distance.

Pinsir nodded to itself, watching you with a piercing stare as you left. Once you did, it immediately returned to it's meal, smiling as it stuffed it's face with berries. Fat bug.

A Honchkrow was perched on a branch over head, staring at you absently as you continued on your way. To your left, there appeared to be nothing ... To your right, you heard something moving around in the bushes. You could probably battle the Honchkrow and still stick around to see what the thing in the bush was -- but it might run away if you do. Choose one or the other. Or ... Ignore both.

[Kenji]

Kenji looked up at the sound of screaming, but shrugged and kept walking. He heard the caw of a bird and looked up at the tree on his right, Hm...a honchkrow, that could help with the next gym... Kenji thought allowed as he sent out Electivire, Electivire hit it wi- Kenji heard the bushes move behind him and stopped. He looked at Honchkrow and said, You, stay there...please? He turned to the bushes and said, Hit whatever is in the bushes over there with a shock wave. Electivire nodded and released a violent bolt of electricity at the bushes.

[Shiz]

The Honchkrow cawed loudly, before stretching it's large majestic wings and taking flight, leaving but one feather behind. The bush continued to rustle, until Electivire finally sent a jolt of electricity towards it -- causing something to yelp pathetically and stumble out of the smoking greenery. An unfamiliar pokemon; Zorua. It resembled a fox. At least, you think it did... You were looking at it from far behind - because it had already made a mad dash in an attempt to flee from you. It had a damn good of a head start -- if you didn't do something quickly, then you would have lost your opportunity to have caught both Honchkrow and Zorua. It was a fast little thing; faster than you or Electivire were, at least.

[Kenji]

Kenji looked at the dark colored fox as it scampered away, quickly, HOLY CRAP I think that's rare! Kenji declared, Electivire just shrugged, he didn't know what was going on, nor did he care. Kenji looked around, thinking quickly as to how he and Electivire could catch up to it, Wait, I know! Electivire throw me at Zorua. Electivire smiled, he liked this idea. The large and strong electric pokemon picked up his trainer and hurled him at the fleeing pokemon.

Kenji was flying through the air, literally, and his eyes began to tear up from the rushing wind around him. He got closer and closer to Zorua, and then he was upon the fox pokemon. The trainer grabbed the fox and held on for dear life as he tumbled across the ground. Electivire was by his side a few seconds later, the large pokemon had used quick attack to appear. Electivire if this thing gives me any trouble, hit it with shock wave. Electivire nodded and Kenji looked at the squirming Zorua, Calm down, we're not going to hurt you....unless you hurt us of course. He tried to pet the squirming fox calmly.

While it would be nice to say that the fox was all calm and stuff as soon as you comforted it and ensured that you wouldn't hurt it if it behaved -- that wasn't going to happen. It was still a wild pokemon, and it would go through hell if it meant escaping captivity. It snarled angrily, clamping down on your arm mercilessly, multiple times, until you finally let go. It would dash away once again, leaving you with a bloody arm, and an Electivire by your side. It yelped and panted as it tried to escape, upset that it was just too damn pretty to be left alone... Oh how it wished sometimes that it could be an ugly little Caterpie that nobody wanted.

[Kenji]

Kenji released the Zorua and yelped in pain, Damn fox. He looked at his bleeding arm and frowned, I swear to god if that thing has rabies... Electivire tapped Kenji on the arm and pointed at the fleeing Zorua, Oh right, um...quick attack always goes first so use that to catch up to it and hit it. If it dodges, or even if you hit it, follow up with shock wave, it won't be able to dodge that. I'll follow right behind you. Electivire nodded and disappeared, headed straight for Zorua. Kenji got up and ripped the sleeve of his shirt, making a bandage for his arm as he ran after the two pokemon.

[Kei Osideken]

Zorua was running for it's dear life. It's day was all pretty boring until about 30 seconds ago when that human threw himself at it. Zorua didn't want to be captured by this trainer, especially if he was crazy! DDD8

Suddenly Zorua took a hit and went flying through the air spinning and rolling it saw flashes of green, brown and Yellow. Yellow? Yellow was a color you see naturally in the forest. Oh... It was that Trainers Electrivire. Mhm Mhm, without a doubt... DDD8 This trainer wasn't giving up.

Suddenly Zorua was hit again with an electrically attack. At least he figured since it felt a lot like when another trainer used a Pikachu on him.

Still careening though the air, Zorua tried to figure a way to fight back.... before it crashed into a tree DDD8. This just wasn't poor Zorua's day!

Sliding down the tree Zorua stood back up and faced his opponent. Running at the Electivire it jumped, using Faint Attack, knocking the Electrivire on the top of the head before it jumped over the Electrivire and ran in the other direction away from you and Electrivire.

Kenji smiled as the two pokemon crashed into the tree, Electivire's weight holding down the fox, We got her now! Kenji said, arriving to the battle, but then Electivire was knocked back and stumbled over as Zorua used faint attack. Crap, it's running again. Electivire, get up and use quick attack. Electivire nodded, stood up and disappeared. Kenji ran but brought out a second pokeball and let out Monferno who began running along side him as soon as he popped out.

Monferno, Electivire is fighting a Zorua and normally I'm not one to fight a two versus one battle, but this things fast. I need you to use Mach Punch and catch up to them. Monferno nodded and disappeared as well as Kenji ran. Monferno appeared infront of Zorua and aimed a solid right hook at the fox's face while Electivire appeared behind Monferno, ready with a swift attack in case the fox tried to run again.

[Lunus]

The zorua was attacked yet again and knocked onto the floor, Electrivire looming over it. Then Monferno appeared and used Mach punch to pin it to the ground. It loooked like it was inevitable it would be caught but something inate triggered in it. The next moment the Zorua was no longer there but replaced by a striking female Monferno. Yes, it was using it's ability Illusion. How would the monferno react to this sudden change? would he be wooed or ignore the charms?

[Kenji]

Monferno's jaw dropped as Zorua's ability kicked in, she was positively gorgeous. Some drool began to form in the monkey's mouth and cascade over his lips, and Kenji rolled his eyes, Knock it off Monferno, Electivire. Kenji nodded to the large electric pokemon and smiled at Monferno. He punched Monferno in the face, effectively knocking the monkey pokemon out of his trance and then proceeded to build electricity in one hand and raw power in the other. Electivire unleashed the two attacks, shock wave and swift, at the "female Monferno" and waited to see what would happen. It would be impossible to dodge, so this was probably it for the fox pokemon.

[Lunus]

The Zorua hung in there, barely, but was now too weak to run or use any attacks. Obviously the trainer was going to catch it and he wondered what it's be like, a life of slavery. But there was also the slight chance of him leaving the Zorua. However there was no time for you to even throw a pokeball before an Absol appeared. You'd have to throw a pokeball now and then distract it whilst it was being caught or fight off the Absol then catch the Zorua, but that could also result in the Zorua fleeing. what should you do?

[Kenji]

Kenji smiled as Zorua went down, he placed a hand on the downed pokemon and pet her softly, It's going to be ok. He smiled and nodded to Electivire who proceeded to launch a final, weaker shock wave at Zorua. If it worked, Zorua would be out almost certainly. Kenji pulled out a pokeball, ready to catch the pokemon once she was unconscious. He turned at the sound of movement only to see an Absol appear.

I don't know what you are, but you look strong and Monferno could use some training. Monferno, hit it with a mach punch. Monferno nodded as he jumped back onto his feet and disappeared, reappearing on the left side of Absol. He launched a quick left jab at the disaster pokemon before disappearing again and appearing at Kenji's side. He maintained distance so that Absol couldn't retaliate.

[Lunus]

The attack was super effective against Absol and it flew into a tree, it was already past half it's damage threshold and probably couldn't take a repeated hit of that. The absol countered with a quick attack which made him seem like a blur as he ran. he attack hit monferno in the chest and it skidded back a few steps. Absol jumped back and panted, this was a fight he couldnt win.

[Kenji]

Monmferno was knocked back, but recovered quickly, he was a scrapper. Good Monferno, hit it with another mach punch and let's wrap this up. Monferno nodded and disappeared, reappearing infront of the absol, he launched a well aimed punch at the disaster pokemon's face. Add a flamethrower in case it survives. Monferno's mouth was already glowing red before Kenji's sentence was done. The monkey unleashed a stream of insanely hot fire.

Kenji, satisfied with Monferno's fighting, turned to Zorua and pulled out a pokeball. He dropped it on the unconscious pokemon and watched as it was absorbed into the ball. It began to shake, and Kenji waited patiently to see what would happen.

[Lunus]

The absol was now knocked out for the count andready to captured. Meanwhile Zorua's pokeball was still shaking, it seemed the Zorua didnt want to be caught, but then again it had no choice, with it being too weak to fight its way out. Anyway, would you like to capture the Absol also. since both of the captures were guaranteed it'd be a good addition to your team.

[Kenji]

Kensei waited for Zorua's pokeball to finish, the thing sure was a fighter to say the least. He looked at Monferno and Absol, who was now unconscious with the fire monkey standing over it triumphantly. He walked over and patted Monferno on the back, Good job buddy, now return. Kenji said, holding up Monferno's pokeball. The fire type disappeared in a flash of scarlet energy and Kenji turned to Electivire. You were great as always. He returned his beast of an electric type and looked at Absol, Now...what to do with you... Kenji pulled out a second pokeball and dropped it on the sleeping pokemon, he then sat there and watched the two pokeballs rock back and forth.

Zorua's Poke'Ball had ceased all movement in the time Kenji had decided to capture Absol. The ball Kenji threw at Absol hit its mark, absorbing the creature inside. Now what Kenji had on his hands was the wait for his 2nd capture. And as much fight as Zorua put up against its capture, Absol seemed to give in rather quickly.
