New Place-New Pokemon

[Mordecai]

Mordecai placed his hands on his knees as he came to a stop. He was in Zenitha Canyon, sweating and very tired. He reached toward his side pulling out a water bottom. He opened the cap throwing it to the ground. He poured some of it on his face while drinking the rest. He threw the bottle to the ground before continuing onward. He had yet to see a Pokemon or a trainer, maybe he would get lucky.

Lairon was scared out of its mind as the ground beneath it began to break. Lairon was panicking the ground was breaking more and more, and if lairon didn't stop I am afraid it would have fallen into oblivion. You offered to save by catching it, obviously that sounded like a reasonable price, I mean even lairon knew how heavy it was and you catching it was going to be a very generous offer, saving its life will forever put it in your debt. It quickly accepted your offer as the pokeball hit it catching inside the luminescent red light.

Mordecai felt the sweat begin to form on his hairline. It slowly began to roll down his forehead, leaving a wet trail mark from it's origin. He clenched his teeth as he reached outward, careful not to fall into the canyon. He smirked as the pokeball landed in his palm, safe from the pit below. He pulled himself backward instantly, letting out a massive 'phew'. He landed on his butt before throwing his head back, looking toward the sky. "Hells yeah!" He exclaimed. "Not only did I save somones life but I caught a pokemon in the process. Torchic leapt on his knee, letting out a chirp. "Hey buddy, we did it... Were on our way!" He laughed. Torchic hopped off of his leg, jumping up and down.

Mordecai stood up before turning. He put Lairon inside of his pocket before pulling out Torchic's pokeball. He returned the chick-like pokemon to its containment unit before continuing on with the journey. As he walked the bead of sweat dripped from his cheek, falling to the ground.

[Maximillion]

As the trainer was walking, another trainer happened to appear in front of him. The trainer wore strange clothes. He wore a blue shirt ,with the word "Pokemon" inside a triangle which was in the middle of the shirt, blue legwears and a red cape. He said "SUUUUU~~~~~PER!" as he saw Mordecai. What a weirdo... Then, he said "I just saw you catching that Lairon and I was wondering if you want to have a battle with me.......". The strange dude was probably a trainer as well...

[Mordecai]

Mordecai smirked as he reached inside his pocket. He cocked his head to the side, "Dude, I'm always up for a battle." He took a couple of steps backwards before throwing the Pokeball into the sky. It opened, a red light shooting toward the ground. Torchic appeared, hopping up and down; it was ready to battle. Mordecai smirked, "Lets do this." He clenched his fists, he was drenched in sweat from walking in the sun.

The man smiled. That pokemon was interesting indeed. However, he had a the perfect pokemon to deal with it. He grabbed a pokeball out of his pockets and he threw it in the air. The pokeball opened in the air and a strange bug came out of it. It could not be indentified in the begining, however after it landed on the ground it was easy to understand what it was. It was a Larvesta. Its trainer smiled and said "Larvesta! Start with String Shot to reduce its speed!". The pokemon said "Larvesta!" as it launched the attack, in an attempt to slow down torchic.

[Mordecai]

Mordecai clenched his fists, "Come on Torchic dodge it!" Torchic leaped to the side but unfortunately he was too slow. A string hit him directly in the leg, causing him to slow down a bit. "Don't let that get you down... Quick, use Ember!" Mordecai exclaimed. Torchic let out a small chirp before taking in a deep breath. The small orange pokemon felt the heat growing within itself. He opened his beak, a volley of small red flames shooting toward the pokemon.

[Maximillion]

"Counter it with yours~~!" where the trainer's commands to his pokemon. Larvesta, nodded and took a deep breath. Smoke was coming out of its mouth as it was charging the ember attack before it would unleash it. Then, as Torchic's Ember had almost reached it, it opened its mouth and launched the fire attack towards Torchic's fire attack, overpowering it and making it head towards the chick pokemon in order to defeat it for good.

[Mordecai]

Mordecai smirked, "Quick, dodge it and use Focus Power!" He roared. Torchic leaped to the side, watching as the ember flew right by him. He then closed his eyes, focusing on Lervesta's body inside of his mind. He began to point out each and every single weak point on his opponent's body. There were not that many, Torchic knew what he had to target when Mordecai would tell him to attack. He opened his eyes and waited for Larvesta's attack.

[Maximillion]

"Hahahaha! This is quite interesting!" were the trainer's words who was surprised to see that Mordecai and his pokemon possessed that kind of skill. Now, the chances for Torchic to land a critical hit were higher so he had to be careful. He looked towards his pokemon and said with a smile on his face "Let's try to burn that fire chick again! Use Ember once more!". The same way as before, Larvesta charged its fire and launched it towards the pokemon... The trainer and the pokemon hoped that this time their attack was successful.

[Mordecai]

Mordecai smirked, he knew that one Ember would not be strong enough for Torchic to counter the opponent's attack so... "Torchic use Ember twice!" He roared, his voice echoing throughout the canyon. Torchic took in a deep breath, hot air filling his lungs. He waited until his opponent's fire was half way toward himself before shooting off two volleys of fire heading straight toward Larvesta's attack. Mordecai hoped that one of these attacks was strong enough to stop his opponent's ember while the other one headed straight into Larvesta.

Larvesta was hit by the Ember attack but that was not enough to bring it down. Despite the fact that it was a bug type, it was also a fire type and so the damage it received was less than anticipated. However, it was more than enough to activate its special ability... Swarm. Larvesta's eyes started glowing and they turned into green. Its trainer smiled and said "This is it! Time to show your true strength! Use Leech Life!". In an instant, Larvesta moved next to Torchic and used the bug type move against Torchic, hitting it. It was not very effective against Torchic but due to Swarm's ability its power was increased and a greeat portion of Larvesta's health was healed. The two pokemon were now even.

[Mordecai]

Torchic let out a yelp and Mordecai clenched his teeth. "Alright, don't let that stop you... Lets do this! Use Scratch twice!" He roared. Torchic took a single step forward, bringing both it's wings backwards. He aimed carefully toward Larvesta's eye, he would be able to do this in just a matter of seconds due to Focus Energy, before slashing his talons out toward his opponent's eye in an attempt to not only critically hurt him but also blind him. Mordecai hoped this would shift the fight in their favour.

[Maximillion]

"Dodge it and use Ember!" were the trainer's words to his pokemon. Larvesta said "Larvesta!" as it launched a String Shot to a tree and was pulled towards the tree, dodging the two Scratch attacks. Then, it took another deep breath and launched another Ember attack towards Torchic in an attempt to cause some more damage. However, the pokemon had already started feeling tired... It could easily be assumed that it could not last in the battle for long.

[Mordecai]

Mordecai swallowed before belting out a command. "Dodge it and then use ember on the tree!" He roared. Torchic leapt to the side, once again narrowly dodging the attack. Since Torchic could not get up the tree he had to get Larvesta out of it. The orange pokemon then let off a volley of flames toward the tree, effectively catching it ablaze.

[Maximillion]

In order to protect the tree from getting burnt, the trainer commanded his pokemon "Larvesta! Move in front of the attack to protect the tree!". The pokemon quickly moved towards the attack and took all of the damage and finally falling unconscious. That was not very fair, but as long as the tree was safe Larvesta's trainer did not mind. He said "Good battle... Even if you cheated..." and then he departed away, leaving Mordecai and his pokemon by themselves.

Mordecai smirked before fist pumping. "Great job Torchic! Your getting better and better everyday!" He exclaimed. "No need to return to your pokeball." He then began to walk, looking around for a new enemy or maybe a new friend. Torchic ran to catch up with Mordecai, he was tired but he would live. For every one steps Mordecai took Torchic had to take three. Sweat began to drip from his forehead as they traveled. They eventually came across a Pokecenter. Nurse Joy healed Torchic and they continued on their way.

As the trainer moved through the Canyon, a wild pokemon appeared. This pokemon was a unique ghost type, one of the few to reside in the Canyon. Moreover, it also had a dark type. It was a wild Sableye! The pokemon, which seemed to be angry for some reason moved quickly towards Torchic and used Astonish in order to cause it some damage. What will the trainer do now? Will he defend himself or will he just run away and escape?

[Mordecai]

Mordecai swallowed before taking a couple of steps backward. He watched as Torchic took damage. Torchic flew backwards, skidding across the ground. He needed one more pokemon and this seemed to be it. "Come on Torchic! Get up and use Ember twice!" He roared. Torchic leaped up before taking in a deep breath. His chest began to feel hot, the warmth taking over his body. He opened his back before letting out a mass of fire.

[Maximillion]

The wild Sableye managed to dodge the first Ember attack with grace but it was hit by the second Ember attack that sent it several meters backwards and on top of that, it was inficted with a burn. It looked towards the fire type pokemon with its weird eyes and said "Sabl~~~~eye!" as it moved forward in an attempt to strike Torchic with another Astonish and take its revenge for the previous attack that hit it.

[Mordecai]

Mordecai clenched his teeth as Torchic was sent flying backwards. "Come on man! We can do this!" He exclaimed. Torchic shakily stood up, bruises and scratches covered it's body. He slowly let out a weak chirp. "Come on! Use Ember twice again!" He roared. Torchic nodded before taking a couple of steps forward, the fire burning within himself. It took in a deep breath before opening it's beak, letting out two volleys of flames toward Sableye, hoping to put the pokemon 'in the red'. This should not be a problem considering the enemy pokemon was also on fire.

As the Sableye was getting ready to end the match with a devastating astonish who knew that you where going to use another double ember. It truly was a moment of truth. This last clash would prove everything, or at least somethings. The Sableye ran at your torchic as its astonish was taking place. As it got closer your ember hit it right one knocking it back, but it still was trooping. it still wanted to hit you with its astonish and so it tried to again, but the burn affect hurt it and it fell to the ground. It was defeated yet, as it started to drag itself toward your torchic.

[Mordecai]

Mordecai smirked as the Sableye was approaching Torchic. He pulled out a single Pokeball, aiming carefully toward Sableye. He hoped that this was going to work. Considering that the pokemon was critically injured and it was burned, this should not be a problem to catch it. He pressed the silver button located in the middle of the Pokeball before swallowing, "Here we go!" He roared. He sent the pokeball forward, watching as it expanded by four times on it's way toward Sableye.

The sableye struggled to get up as it saw that you where getting ready to catch it where it was lying. It was still struggling to get up but just couldn't find the strength to do so. As you threw the pokeball the sableye closed its eyes and excepted its fate as the pokeball hit it and attempted to catch it.
