Second Research!: Track Magmar!

[Maximillion]

After he sent the samples he got from the wild Onix he caught to professor Akane, the trainer/researcher Maximillion Sawada headed towards Groudon Island in order to complete another mission. This time, the researcher was asked to gather data on a wild Magmar from the island. As he set foot on the island, without losing his time, he headed towards the mountain where the Magmars used to be... Another adventure for him and his Gallade was about to begin...

As Max made his way up the volcano, it began to get hotter and hotter, the air became dense with heat. Considering this was an active volcano, the higher you climbed, the dumber you were. However, the high temperatures had almost no effect on the fire and rock pokemon that populated the area around and even in the volcano. In fact, one particular pokemon, houndour, enjoyed the heat so much that it had a spot it went to each day to relax in it. Unfortunately for Max, he happened to be standing in that very area. There was a low growl which turned into an obnoxious, and loud barking as Houndour drew closer, ready to attack Max.

[Maximillion]

Maximillion was unaware of the fact that the wild Houndoor was about to attack him. when he first watched it. Instead, he thought that he was being greeted by the pokemon of the area. However, as soon as he listened to the obnoxious bark and watched it coming towards him ready to attack he understood its true intentions. He did not want to start battling pokemon in the area, but as they were asking for it he had no other choice. He threw Gallade's pokeball on the ground, saying "Come out, buddy!".

When Gallade got out, it waited for a command. Maximillion said "Use Slash!" and Gallade started running towards Houndoor in order to slash it with its melee attack. The battle had just started... And the trainer was sweatdropping as the place was getting more and more hot due to the active volcano!

The houndour's growling grew even deeper and meaner as Gallade appeared. Suddenly the dog from hell pokemon darted forward and bit(bite) down on Gallade's arm as it used slash, taking damage but also dishing it out at the same time. Houndour held on for dear life, and refused to let go, this was a scrapper, it didn't want to lose. Houndour then emitted a purple fog from its mouth that covered Gallade and threatened to poison the pokemon if it didn't do something quick, smog was an interesting attack to say the least.

[Maximillion]

Hopefully for Gallade, due to its fight type the damage it received by the Houndour was not very high and moreover its slash attack worked. However, if Gallade was hit by the upcoming attack it would be in real trouble. At the time the trainer watched at Houndour's move, he pointed towards it with a serious face "Teleport behind him, where there is no Smog and Slash it!". In an instant, Gallade disappeared from its previous place and appeared behind Houndour. Then, it swang its elbow and attempted to strike it with its attack in order to bring it down...

[Viviana]

That Houndour, it didn't want to lose. It really didn't, I mean it was going to do whatever it took to bring down your Gallade. It thought it was the end for your pokemon when it bit down into it but unfortunately that was enough. That teleport you commanded your gallade to do however did the trick as it psyched houndour out. Houndour didn't know where your gallade went, but after hearing your command it turned around only to see the blade of Gallade come around and slash it down to the ground. Houndour skidded across the floor immobilized and out for the count.

[Yay! Gallade leveled up to level 26!]

The trainer smiled as he looked at his Gallade that defeated the wild pokemon with ease. Now that he was done with it, it was about time for him to go and search for the Magmar so that he would complete the mission for Professor Akane. Since he managed to complete the previous task that the professor assigned him he knew that he was born to become a researcher and one day a professor... And so, he continued climbing the volcano in an attempt to find the Magmar...

[Viviana]

Finding Magmar was going to be no walk in the park as you continued to look for it in the mountain. Of course there was the occasionally small shakes that made you lose balance or that just made you pause for a short moment, but then, BANG! The whole moment started to shake, or so you thought. The ground beneathe you began to quake and crumble as cracks could be seen forming from it. Gravel and rocks emitted from the cracks as a huge rock like boulder popped out...wait another boulder popped out, another one, another one...they all seemed to be connected but that only means. Yes and Onix towared over you as it coiled its body to form that of a snake. It roared a mighty roar as its noise appeared to be a screech attack! My word, what will you do?

[Maximillion]

The trainer was quite surprised to see the Onix appearing towards him out of nowhere and covering him with its body. It probably wanted to attack him just like the wild Houndour... However, he knew what to do. He had caught an Onix before, after all. Hopefully, Gallade was out. He said "Gallade, stop this Onix with Magical Leaf.". Then, many leaves appeared around the psychic/fight type pokemon and moved towards Onix. The move was ultra (4x) effective against it and it was a move that never missed... It was a matter of time for Gallade to defeat Onix, for sure.

[Viviana]

The onix looked down at you its eyes piercing through your body, perhaps even your very existance as its body began to coil tighter around you. It really didn't notice your gallade at all but it should have because who knew that you were going to command it to use Magical leaf...besides you. You were right though, the magically leaf did its damage on the onix as the leafs managed to cut it, but some how it managed to get in a rock throw at your gallade which headed toward it unexpectedly as Onix let out another roar as it fell to the ground creating a big rumble that shook the whole place.

[Maximillion]

Max smiled as he looked at the Onix that got damaged. He did not have any problems with it, but he had to find the Magmar as soon as possible to finish the mission. He knew that the battle was his own fault for entering its territory, but now he had nothing else to do except from defeating it. He commanded his pokemon as it saw that it was about to get hit by the rock type attack "Teleport on its body and strike with Magical Leaf once more. It cannot handle more of it!"... And Gallade did so. It immediately dodged the attack with its Teleport and appeared right on Onix's body. Then, from the close distance it launched the Magical Leaf on it in order to finish it off...

[Viviana]

The Onix was very furiously, upset. I mean you trespassed on its territory but then you had the nerve to fight it for what you did, well I mean still you where defending yourself but trespassing is another thing. The onix was still upset as its attack, that it intended to pulverize the Gallade with was a failure. Gallade appeared on onix's back and used another magical which did the trick as onix fell unconscious and you, yet again one the match.

[Yay! Gallade got 1 experience!]

The trainer smiled once again as he saw that his Gallade managed to defeated the rock snake pokemon easily. The rock type seemed to be strong but Max had already caught one that was actually bigger than the previous one and moreover he had to go with the mission. The trainer did not seem to have something else in his mind. For a brief moment, he remembered himself some years ago... His own self two years ago would not think of traveling again and believed he would have nothing to gain if he did, but now he only lived for the adventure and the experience... And so, the trainer continued climbing the volcano in order to find the wild Magmar he was looking for.

As Max traveled more into the Volcano the heat got more intense and the scenery got more exotic. After awhile he had saw several Macargo just lounging near a pool of molten lava. All laid back there had even been a small pack of Slugma near a smaller pool of lava. The two packs had left each other alone. Suddenly however one of the smal slugma's had evolved into a Macargo, it than slowly migrated to the other pool with the other Macargo. It was an quite odd sight to see.

Max was quite excited to see a pokemon's behavior after evolving into another pokemon. It looked like the Slugma had a slight personality change after it evolved into a Macgargo. He did not get to see anything like that every day so he wrote it down on a notebook and took his pokedex out to scan the two kinds of pokemon. He first placed the pokedex towards the Macgargo pool and recorded the data about them. He read "Macgargo the Lava Pokemon. Its body temperature is roughly 18,000 degrees F. Flames spout from gaps in its hardened shell. The shell on its back is just skin that has cooled and hardened. It breaks easily with a slight touch. Its brittle shell occasionally spouts intense flames that circulate throughout its body. Macgargo also has a type combination that no other pokemon has.". Then, he immediately placed the pokedex towards the Slugma and recorded all the data about it as well. He read on the pokedex "Slugma, the Lava Pokemon and the pre-evolved form of Macgargo. Its body is made of magma. If it doesn't keep moving, its body will cool and harden. A common sight in volcanic areas, it slowly slithers around in a constant search for warm places.". Those two pokemon were interesting... But Maximillion was not searching for them. After recording the data, he started leaving along with his Gallade and started climbing the volcano once again in search of the wild Magmar.

As Max went deeper into the Volcano he had saw several chambers fillled all with baby pokiemon. All seem normal until all of a sudden their was a freak earthquake. Max however was perfectly fine but It had been a big earthquake as several of the chambers full of pokemon had been shut off. What will happen to the baby pokemom!?! What caused this freak accident! What was Max to do about the situatuion?

[Maximillion]

Seeing that there were many chambers full of pokemon destroyed by the short in duration but yet powerful earthquake, the trainer/ researcher decided to help them. It was his job to do so, after all. He moved towards the place where the pokemon were trapped and he commanded his Gallade "Let us free those pokemon Gallade! Use Confusion now, to move the rocks that block the chambers and move them out of the way!" and Gallade started doing so, in an attempt to free several all of the babies...

[Hatarou]

Gallade had more work than expedcted as since several of the rocks had been pretty large. However it was driven by the cries of all the babies to keep going! The cries had attracted some other pokemon to come and the Gallade. Several Timburrs had come to the rescue as each had started to help in moving rocks in an efforts to save the babies. Eventually they had cleared the space and several ponytas and Slugmas had ran out. They were all thankful toward the trainer and even left him a small gift. it had been a cheri berry.

The trainer/ researcher was glad to see that the pokemon were all saved and that he received a gift for saving all those pokemon. He would stay with the pokemon to play and have fun with them, but the temperature was getting hotter and hotter and he had to find the Magmar before he got dry. The volcano was pretty hot. He said to his Gallade "We should hurry..." as he started running quickly higher on the volcano while searching for the fire type pokemon just to record some data about it.

Max had started running very quickly... in a volcano... So-so idea since he started running, needless to say the heat tends to make one see things or in this case not see things. In front of Max had been a baby Magby just sleeping randomly on the floor. Max had than tripped on the poor baby and rudely had woken it up. It got up really angry and aimed at max and had used an Ember.

[Maximillion]

Once Max stepped on the wild Magby he tried to apologize, ashamed of what he did. However, as the wild pokemon started attacking him, he changed his mind and would counter in order to protect himself and his pokemon. He pointed towards the wild pokemon and said "Gallade, endure the attack and strike that Magby with a Slash!". Gallade moved in front of the attack, with its arms crossed. It could feel the damage it received by the attack but that was nothing for a strong pokemon like it was. Magby was a first form while Gallade was the last form, after all. There was no chance it would cause him much damage... And so, the psychic/fight type pokemon started moving towards it with some quick steps in order to slash Magby on the chest with its Slash attack, after getting hit by its Ember.

OOC: Well hello 3rd page

Magby's ember had done close to nothing to the Gallade. It had gotten close to the Magby and had slashed the poor little thing in it's chest. It flew back and hit the rocky wall. It was a tough little thing as it gotten even more angry and erupted from it's mouth a ring of fire around itself. The flames had gotten so high that Max couldn't see the baby Pokemon. Than as the flames engulfed the magby after a moment or so a Flame Punch had erupted from the ring of fire. It came from a just evolved Magmar from the so called, "Not strong Weak first former..."

[Maximillion]

Seeing the Magmar that had just evolved from Magby, the trainer smiled. He was so lucky. Not only he got to see a Magmar but he also happened to see it evolving from Magby. He moved his pokedex towards it and tried to scan the data. He read "Magmar the Spitfire Pokemon and the evolved form of Magby. Born in the spout of a volcano, its body is covered by flames that shimmer like the sun. ". He had finally done it. He recorded the data about the pokemon. Now, the only thing he got to do was to defeat it and then he would head towards the town in order to call the professor and tell her about the data he recorded... He pointed towards the wild pokemon and said "Gallade use Slash!" and the pokemon moved forward and using its Slash attack with its right elbow in order to cause a collision between its own and Magmar's punch.

[Kei Osideken]

Whoa! This Was Crazy! the Newly Evolved Magmar Ducked, actually dodging your Gallade's Slash attack. While ducked the Magmar jumped up, bring up it's fist too. The Fire Punch connected... With Gallade's Jaw. Plus with all of that extra 'umpf' from jumped, this was without a doubt a critical hit.

Magmar retreated a bit, ready to use another attack. Magmar began to run... But not at Gallade!? In fact Magmar was running circles around Gallade! What was it doing?! Well to be honest it was only trying to use Fire Spin...

[Maximillion]

"No! Gallade!" were the trainer's words who just saw his pokemon getting hit accidentally by the newly evolved Magmar and not only that, but the attack was also a critical hit! The psychic/ fighting type pokemon had received some damage but hopefully it could still battle. As it got up, it saw at Magmar that was using Fire Spin around it. It was the first time it saw a pokemon using Fire Spin like that, but it did not matter at all. He took its stance waiting for a command... and the trainer said "Gallade! Teleport behind Magmar before you get trapped and use Slash!". In an instant, the pokemon disappeared from the middle of the circle and appeared right behind Magmar. With an angry look on its face because of the attack it received before it said "Gallade!" as it swung its left elbow in order to slash Magmar with its Slash attack and defeat it.
