Groudon Island Aventures: The tutor's Fire Stone!

After getting seperated from his partner Gallade, for the first time during his journey in Katsu, the trainer/ researcher Maximillion Sawada was sent around the island in search of a fire stone. Knowing that the place was full of Fire type pokemon the trainer decided to bring Ducklett, a pokemon he caught in Ventus Town with him so that he would train him. And now, the trainer arrives in the Groudon Ruins, while searching for the Fire Stone that the tutor wanted in exchange for training his Gallade...

Cubone smiled, but then noticed Max was taking the fire stone for himself. Suddenly, the small pokemon became very angry, why, who knows. Bone, BONE! Cubone yelled at Max as he picked up the fire stone. Suddenly the pokemon charged forward, holding his bone in both hands he slams it down towards Ducklett with a bone club attack. BONE, CUBONE!! The once nice Cubone called in a battle cry. Cubone turned to Max, not caring if his attack even hit Ducklett or not. He ran towards Max, hit him in the hand, which released the fire stone, and ran off with it. Would Max pursue or find a different one?

Max would definetely pursue the wild pokemon. However, Ducklett was knocked out and so he had to take it to a pokemon center to heal, first. After taking it to the pokemon center, he quickly returned to the place. Hopefully, he had marked the pokemon from its appearance and he would realize easily which one it was as soon as he happened to spot it. He threw Ducklett's pokemon on the ground and Ducklett appeared, completely healed. He said "Let us chase Cubone!" as they started running towards the place where Cubone was in order to find it and take the fire stone back.

As the two left the pokemon center and headed back into the ruins, a new pokemon appeared, blocking their path. Magmar was looking for a good fight, something it hadn't had in quite awhile. Maaaaar. Magmar said in its usual lazy tone of voice. It stood there for a minute not doing anything but watching, before unleashing a thick smokescreen that surrounded Max and Ducklett. Then, Magmar made its move, it jumped from its hiding place and into the smoke. Being used to the smoke, Magmar knew exactly where Max was, and unleashed an ember in that direction. With the smoke, seeing the incoming Ember would be next to impossible.

The trainer was surprised to see the smoke covering but he had a plan in his mind that would help him see everything that was happening around him. He said to his pokemon "Ducklett, use Defog!" and the pokemon did so, eliminating the smokescreen. However, as soon as it did, it noticed the Ember attack that was coming towards it. It was too late, though. The pokemon was hit by the attack. Hopefully, due to its water type the damage was not very much but it still was some damage. Seeing that he was engaged in a battle again, Max pointed towards the Magmar and said "Use Water Pulse on Magmar!" and the pokemon did so, hoping to defeat the fire type pokemon.

Magmar smiled and ran towards the water pulse, at the last second it jumped over the ring of water, doing a front flip in mid air. It landed back on its feet and without missing a step kept running towards Ducklett. Magmar lashed out with his right fist, but that wasn't the real attack. He stopped his fist a few inches from Ducklett's face as his tail came around and struck Ducklett in the stomach. Faint attack, a move that never misses, was one of Magmar's favorites. Magmar smiled as he towered over Ducklett before letting loose an odd purple haze, smog.

The trainer reurned the pokemon back in its pokeball. He knew that there was no way he would find the Fire Stone at all... Cubone had gone away... He lost the stone right after he got it. What a mess. It would be better if he went back at the tutor's and paid him instead. It would be much more simple to do so. He said "We would better go..." as he left away from the Magmar and headed to the pokemon center in order to heal his Ducklett. Afterwards, he would go to the tutor's house and finally get his partner back.
